Pastor Dave's Christmas Eve Message

This evening, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we look beyond the manger to the cross. It's not in His birth alone that brought us salvation, but in His life and His death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin and His resurrection. This evening we think about the greatest gift that was ever given—the gift of salvation and eternal life that God gave us through His son Jesus Christ.

This evening I invite all of us to consider again this precious gift. If you've not yet received the gift of salvation, the gift of life through Christ, I invite you now, this evening even, to receive this wonderful gift.

Sometimes we complicate it and put different things on it and different expectations, but it's very simple actually. Somebody said it's as simple as ABC: Admit we're a sinner and need a savior, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Confess Christ as our Savior and commit our way and our life to Him. Then we will have eternal life and receive the gift.

Pastor Dave's Closing Charge

Jesus said to His disciples, "You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill. No one lights a candle and puts it under a basket. Therefore, let your light so shine before men."

I encourage you to take the light of Jesus' love, forgiveness, hope, and peace. Take that light into your world.

In Jesus' name. Amen.
